The Citadel is one of the oldest schools of higher education in South Carolina.      It was primarily a military school in the 19th century.      The college is and has been, for many years, awarding degrees to both male and female graduates.     Until recently, the cadet core was male only.     This Sesquicentennial print commemorates its rich heritage and place in history.
